Ultimate Victory Challenge EXPLODES into 2012 with title tripleheader

Feb. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- COLUMBUS, OH – Ultimate Victory Challenge is set to make its explosive 2012 debut with a full night of mixed martial arts (MMA) cage fights on February 18 at the Ohio Expo Center. Chock full with 18 top-notch fights, “EXPLOSION” will be the biggest amateur card in Central Ohio history.

Featuring a triple header of title fights, the roof of the Ohio Building will be blown off. First up, former heavyweight champion Tim “Fatboy” Dunn (7-2 / fighting out of Portsmouth, OH) will look to regain a title that he feels is rightfully his when he takes on knockout artist and toughman veteran Larry “SuperFreak” Shuck (8-4 / fighting out of Massillon, OH) to determine a new UVC heavyweight champion. Fan favorite and Buckeye MMA product “Unkle” De White (4-0 / fighting out of Columbus, OH) will drop to his natural 125 pounds for the first time in his career for the biggest test of his career against former RFO bantamweight champion Raymond “The Reaper” Yanez (9-6 / fighting out of Marion, OH) in a battle for the inaugural UVC flyweight championship. And finally, Dayton MMA product Max Scoby (8-2 / fighting out of Beavercreek, OH) will defend his welterweight title for the first time when he welcomes newcomer Nick “The Mauler” Mueller (5-2 / fighting out of Mansfield, OH) to the UVC for the first time in a 170-pound clash.

The main event slot, however, is still up for grabs, as UVC fans will decide which fight they want to end the night with a bang. To vote, fans can go to the UVC Facebook page (www.facebook.com/UVCMMA) to make their voices heard.

The UVC 19 card is not top-heavy, though, as some of the best amateur fighters that the Tristate Area has to offer will fill out the best undercard in UVC history. Fan favorites Scottie “The Dream” Weaver (5-2), Don “Night Night” Germany (3-0), Chico “The Ninja Assassin” Bays (5-3), top featherweight contender Jeff Smith (6-1), and former welterweight champion Hod Lundell (6-4) will be part of an entire card that will detonate on February 18. UVC fans will also be treated to some of the most exciting newcomers to make debuts in recent memory.

Media and fans are also invited to the full UVC 19 pre-fight press conference, which will take place on at 5pm on February 12 at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center (4900 Sinclair Rd., Columbus, OH 43229).
