Get Involved with Marine Industry Cares Foundation Spin-A-Thon

Feb. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The Marine Industry Cares Foundation is holding their 4th annual Spin-A-Thon to benefit two organizations this year of which include the Children’s Diagnostic &Treatment Center along with Kids In Distress.  The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC), is an organization that serves more than 10,000 children with special health care needs in Broward County, and Kids In Distress (KID) an agency that works in South Florida to prevent child abuse, preserve the family, and treat children who have been abused and neglected.

The 4th annual Spin-A-Thon is a fun endurance challenge and a great team building activity that offers several ways for you to get involved.  You can take place in the action by becoming an event sponsor or organizing/joining a team.  The Spin-A-Thon is taking place on April 20, 2012, rain or shine, at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale and the Marine Industry Cares Foundation would like for YOU to join our team to help double the remarkable amount of $100,000 raised last year.  The breakdown of committees and who to contact to get involved is provided below:

Sponsorship Committee

Work with Sponsorship Team leader to identify, contact and share event information, and ask potential Spin-A-Thon sponsors to support the event.

Bike Team Development Committee

Work with Bike Team Development leaders to identify individuals or companies who can form Bike Teams to raise funds and participate in the Spin-A-Thon.

Food & Beverage Committee

Assist Food & Beverage Team leader with food service contacts as needed and ensure efficient coordination of food service on event day.

Set-Up &Logistics Committee

Work with Set-up & Logistics Team leader to ensure event venue set-up, maintenance and break-down are coordinated and managed efficiently and effectively.
