Siklu Millimeter Wave EtherHaul Radio Demonstrates Stable Performance During Indian Monsoon

Feb. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- PETACH TIKVA, Israel, February 9, 2012 – Siklu, provider of the EtherHaul millimeter wave wireless backhaul solution, has announced that its radio performed flawlessly in a challenging trial in Mumbai, India, during the 2011 monsoon season.

A leading Indian mobile operator led a six-month trial and concluded that the Siklu EtherHaul delivers a robust wireless backhaul solution under all weather conditions. Having already established a leading position in the European E-band backhaul market, Siklu is now poised to deliver its low-cost, high-capacity backhaul to the Indian market.

A series of EtherHaul links were deployed at various distances and their performance and availability were monitored for an entire monsoon season in Mumbai. The monsoon in that region is one of the harshest in India, and the 2011 season was particularly challenging.

As a result of this trial, Siklu has demonstrated that its EtherHaul E-band systems can be effectively used in India, for last mile backhaul of mobile and business services.
