Charities needed to pioneer on-line communities

Chatham-based Netsite is on the hunt for organisations, particularly not for profit and charities, to pioneer the use of on-line communities that allow people to communicate and collaborate.

Feb. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Netsite has already worked successfully with NHS South East Coast and NHS West Kent on projects such as the Learning Network and Healthy Passport Club. Now the Netsite team wants to encourage charities to try out a new application called Collabor8tor that can bring a range of benefits in a cost-effective way.

Netsite Managing Director Paul Duthoit said: “We are willing to work with organisations with a limited budget and, in the early days for pioneers, only make a charge to cover our costs, in order to spread the word about Collabor8tor. For instance housing associations wanting to set up an on-line community would find the tool really useful to enable residents to communicate, discuss, learn and share information quickly and easily.

“It is called managed social/collaborative networking – we are creating a platform with controlled access that enables groups of employees and customers to collaborate and improve services.”

Using Collabor8tor can also help reduce staff costs, increase efficiency and reduce the time spent on internal e-mails. It can also help staff manage complex projects and engage colleagues – especially where organisations are going through change. Other benefits include: reducing training costs by enabling training to take place on-line; improving staff communication, engagement and involvement; engaging members or customers with your brand and monitoring satisfaction.

Collabor8tor can be completely customised and also used by organisations with large numbers of members or customers who want to form on-line communities.

There are two versions of Collabor8tor. One has been designed for clubs, charities, not-for-profit, associations, local organisations and tenants associations. The other version is for companies, businesses and commercial organisations. For more information go to www.collabor8tor.co.uk   Demonstrations can be arranged by telephoning 01634 880800 or e-mail info@netsite.co.uk

Netsite offers a range of services from bespoke website design through to content managed e-recruitment systems. The company was established 14 years ago and has clients including the NHS, Rochester Avionic Archives, Crewsaver and The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
