The "LayerCloud" Cosplay SNS service is here to help it go even further.

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 9, 2012 - GMW Co., Ltd. (Location: Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Representative director: Ryoji Hara), is a company that runs Internet portal sites. Our motto is "Creating Culture." On February 8, 2012, we launched the "LayerCloud (English version)" Internet service (http://layercloud.net/?language=english), a site dedicated to the distinctive Japanese subculture of cosplay, to allow users to share their own cosplay images and enjoy the work of others.

Cosplay has spread from Europe and North America to the east Asian countries of Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and into southeast Asia. Every year in Japan there is a world cosplay summit type of event which draws cosplayers from around the world, and with similar events being held worldwide, the realm of cosplay is growing with every passing year.

Now that Japanese cosplay culture has spread to the world at large, we would like to offer a service to back up that culture with Internet content.

It was important to us that anyone with an interest in cosplay should be able to easily register on our cosplay SNS, "LayerCloud," and enjoy other people's work.
We want to give people the pleasure of looking at others' work and realizing, "I want to try cosplaying, myself."
Of course, the service is packed with useful features like keyword tags to help you easily find the pictures you want to check out, and bookmark tags to help you keep track of your favorite works.

Using Internet content, we hope that our cosplay SNS, "LayerCloud," will put cosplay culture at the fingertips of fans all over the world, and help raise the hobby to a new level.
