Author Jack Whyte walks onto his new Web Site jackwhyte.com

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 8, 2012 - Via video, Mr. Whyte walks onto or sits astride each page of jackwhyte.com describing his 12 books, introducing each in the Scottish brogue heard by aspiring authors at the Surrey International Writer’s Conferences which he sponsors.

In 1995, Jack and webmaster Mark Burgess setup the first place readers could get advanced versions of Jack’s books, camulod.com – so named for the “Camelot” of Whyte’s first series of novels which invented King Arthur’s family history.  Well before Facebook, fans like “Cathy” and “Chief Scott” held colorful discussions on the site’s Forum, created by Burgess.

“Getting a chance to interact with my fans, hear their ideas and get their reactions has been priceless,” Whyte said.

The new site features all three series of Jack’s books including a three book series on the Knights Templar and his most recent series, focused on the Guardians of Scotland. A sample chapter of his second book in the Series “Renegade” is available for registered users.  The forum is still there with some 5,000 registered fans and the site sports the new “Silver Marks” system where registered visitors to the site can earn rewards by navigating the site, reading and participating in discussions through the forum or comments on other content in the site.
