Executive officer Doug Ryan said the Neighbours campaign was ideal to launch the new URL address.   “Our fresh web address is clearer for visitors searching online for holiday information about the region and from a marketing perspective it has more meaning to its target audience than our corporate site address www.tpdd.com.au which is simply our organisation’s initials,’ he said.  

The Neighbours online competition has been distributed to a database of over 11,000 pre-cleared consumers keen for a Port Douglas & Daintree holiday.  

“When people enter this major competition via our new website, it will help boost the search engine optimization rankings and bring our new URL up in Google’s search terms.  The new name also reflects that we are a tourism authority which will prompt more visitors to click on that link,” said Doug Ryan.
