Fortna Global Expansion Continues With LGA Acquisition in South Africa

Feb. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- READING, PA – To meet growing client demand and bring their unique distribution services model to the Sub-Saharan market, Fortna has acquired a controlling interest in South Africa-based LGA Logistics Consultants (Pty) Ltd. Founded in 1986 and based outside Johannesburg, LGA is a professional services firm that assists companies with material handling and distribution projects.

Our investment in LGA is a logical next step in our expansion beyond the U.S., Canada and Latin America,” stated John White, President of Fortna. “We are excited about our opportunities for growth in the South African market and how our business case approach will benefit companies in that region,” said Marc Austin, VP of EMEA, Fortna.

LGA’s impressive client list includes diverse firms such as RTT, ABI, UTi, Nike, Barloworld Logistics, DHL, Engen, Unitrans, Anglo Platinum, XPS, Sappi, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem Pharmacies, Woolworth’s, and Shell.
