Feb. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- CHIP stands for Children's Home Intervention Program, Inc. CHIP’s work is dedicated to providing quality services to families and their young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Developmental Delays or other Disabilities.

CHIP’s Early Intervention Program provides Educational and Therapy Programs for children from birth to three years of age. All services are provided at no cost to families and are funded and regulated by the New York State Department of Health and by the NYC Early Intervention Program under the auspices of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.  York City Early Intervention Program.
CHIP operates a SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teaching program for children three to five years old, approved, regulated and funded under New York State Education Department and the NYC Department of Education.

They are proud to provide home and community based services in all boroughs. CHIP also provides center-based early intervention services in a beautiful Day Care/ Special Needs Center in Staten Island.

Additional private consultation is also available for children not eligible for Early Intervention or Dept of Education services. In Staten Island, CHIP offers play groups, Mommy and Me groups and classes, training, and support for families.
All CHIP clinicians are certified by New York State in their own disciplines.  We take pride in our experienced and well-trained staff.  Many of the staff, both full and part time teachers and therapists of all disciplines, have worked for CHIP for years and bring their substantial professional expertise to their work with the children. CHIP provides extensive training and ongoing supervision, particularly in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Applied Verbal Behavior (AVB).
