Feb. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Tips :
Half of the questions are straight forward. These questions are basically from the tables given in the review guide. Please be thorough with even the tiniest table in the review guide and blue book.
These questions also include joint mobilizations, gait deviations, muscles acting in each phase of the gait cycle, orthotics and prosthetics, wound dressing, spinal cord injuries, differences between arterial and venous ulcers,
developmental milestones, rehabilitation in different levels of myelodysplasia, contraindications for different physical agents,THR and TKR,Exercise tolerance testing, special tests etc.
Other half of the questions require analysis.
Orthopedics covers a majority of questions and concentrate on that.
Refer kisner for cruciate ligament injuries, meniscal injuries, rotator cuff injuries,THR,TKR,and joint moblization.
Refer Magee for special tests and figures including X-rays.
And a table in shoulder joint which states differences between atraumatic instability, adhesive capsulitis etc
In the lower leg differential diagnosis of shin splints, compartment syndorme, stress fracture etc. Be thorough with these tables also.
Be thorough with both review guide and blue book. Each and every word. That will lead you to success.
Most important of all is solve as many questions as you can.
You will be acquainted with the pattern of the exam and the type of questions you will encounter.
In the actual exam it seems as if more than one choice is correct. But, only one is correct of the four.A little guessing can do the job.
Some questions are really very difficult and do not waste time on them unnecessarily.Mark them and review them at the end of the section.
If you have freinds, I suggest have some discussions on some topics. You will remember better. That worked for me.
A friend of mine and myself discussed some difficult topics,
and I can never forget them.
Don't panic and be cool and follow the time constraint.
If I can pass, all of you can pass. Jut keep FAITH in the ALMIGHTY and do your job....
