Jacquée T. expresses Three Reasons to Love Poetry

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 8, 2012 - The Valentine's season is a time the word "romance" is put in the spotlight. Yet, people are romantic by nature, says Jacquée Thomas, authoress and the voice behind "A Romantic's Perspective"(.com).  "They appreciate tapping into romance all year long."
   One way to tap into romance is to enjoy poetry, she says. "People who explore poetry find that they have favorite styles of poetry and favorite poets that effect them."
   Miss Thomas is the poetess of the book "Growing Up (the pain, the joy, the discoveries)" that features a collection of her poems, quotes and essays.
   She welcomes people to love her poetry. She also hopes they find other poets’ works to love. And she encourages that, if people feel so inspired, they dabble in writing their own poetry.
   More about three reasons to love poetry:
   1) It’s romantic; it taps into emotions.
      "We are emotional beings," she says. "Poetry expresses emotions in black and white, yet with words that bring visions, with words that cut directly to emotions. And guess what, ’tis emotions that are the epitome of romance. Poetry helps us access our emotions via verse, short excerpts, or phrases. Be the emotions, sorrow, joy, angst, yearning or love."
   2) It’s romantic; it welcomes sharing emotions.
      "When you have found poetry that moves you, share it." Read poetry that is funny, familiar or that otherwise appeals to your profundity, to friends.
      "Fellas, share a favorite love poem or quote with your darling; you will surprise and charm her."
   3) It’s romantic; it inspires expressing emotions.
      You may feel impelled to jot your own emotions via verse, excerpts or phrases. Pick up the pen and don’t be shy. Let go. Only later need you consider sharing the poetry you penned. For now, let your emotions flow.
