"This affiliation benefits each institution as well as the communities and patients served by South Nassau," said Linda Efferen, MD, South Nassau’s chief medical officer.  “In addition to training new physicians and providing continuing medical education opportunities for medical staff, it will enhance patient care by fostering research and quality initiatives designed to enhance patient care and improve clinical programs.”
