Pass It On Africa encourage the people of London to become Superheroes for a day

Six-sheet poster advertising and leaflet drop to promote Pass It On Africa’s HEROES RUN

Feb. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Brighton based charity Pass It On Africa are launching a two pronged Outdoor Advertising campaign with media planning and buyers Out of Home International to encourage participation in the first ever HEROES RUN charity event to be held in London on 1st April 2012.

Pass It On Africa approached Out of Home International looking for an Outdoor Advertising solution to encourage children, adults, individuals or teams to enter their family event.

The HEROES RUN has been established since 2005, is the original superhero-themed race in the UK and is now a firm favourite in many fundraisers calendars. Four events will be held across the UK, and 2012 will see the first HEROES RUN ever to be held in London on Clapham Common. The race events were created by the charity Pass It On Africa, who raise funds to build schools and support education in Ghana, Kenya and The Gambia.

Out of Home International recommended six-sheet roadside poster advertising to showcase the bright artwork. The posters are in close proximity to Clapham Common, one of the most popular spaces in south London, to target joggers, cyclists, shoppers, and commuters in the district.

In addition to the six-sheet posters advertising leaflets will be handed out providing more information on the HEROES RUN and how you can sign up for 2012.

“We wanted a way to promote the event and reach the most people in the target area and we are very happy with the combined Roadside six-sheet and leaflet campaign that Out of Home International has arranged for us. Their proximity planning ensured we got some key sites at Clapham Common where the first of the four races in our HEROES RUN race series will be held on Sunday 1st April 2012.” James Macdonald, Race Director and Charity Co-founder.

The tightly targeted campaign runs from 6th February 2012 for two weeks.

“I am extremely pleased to have Pass It On Africa as a client of Out of Home International. The partnership has allowed us to extend our Outdoor Advertising portfolio and feature the HEROES RUN, a fun event from a proactive and caring charity” John Kehoe, Managing Director at Out of Home International.
