....as Abuja Tenant Wins Three Bedrooms Apartment Grand Prize
The much awaited final draws of the 2011 edition of the annual ASO Savings & Loans Plc’s My House Account national promotion otherwise known as Save & Grow My House Account, has finally been held amidst fanfare on Saturday, February 4, 2012.
One Hundred and fifty lucky winners were picked in the draw for the various consolation prizes and lucky winners who were present went home with fabulous prizes from the list of 20 Flat Screen Television Sets, 30 Refrigerators, 40 Deep Fryers and 50 Microwave Ovens.
The high point of the event was when the star prize draw was to be picked. The large numbers of the shortlisted customers who were in attendance were all in high spirit, eagerly waiting and praying that their lottery will be picked.
When Mr. Baba Adamu of the National Lottery Commission was called up to witness the last draw for the star prize and also to pick the lottery, he picked the lot of the ASO customer’s account number 1058121849013 belonging to Mrs. Victoria Ekaete Nwaigwe, the hall went in wild applause. To the chagrin of not a few, the winner was not in the hall. The MC was then mandated to call the winner’s listed phone number. Apparently dazed, Mrs. Nwaigwe exclaimed on the phone. She managed to answer the first line of verifications questions posed to her by the anchorman.
The 43 year old business woman, who manages her husband’s pharmaceutical shop and store at Area 8, Garki, Abuja, stated on phone that she received the text message that was sent to all the shortlisted customers for the draw but she didn’t have anybody to stay at her shop and that she did not actually take it serious. She promised to quickly come over with her husband and this she did within 30 minutes.
Other consolation prize winners present at the event include: Labaran Sule from Kaduna branch, Augustin Adonye Green from Area 8, Garki branch and a native of Bonny, Rivers state. Both went home with LCD television set. Mrs Uduakesin Rebecca Aderogba from the FCDA branch and Eugene Nkemakolam Onuegbu from the ASO Head office branch went home both with a giant refrigerator each among other 30 refrigerators won.
The event, which was held at the Executive Hall of the International Conference Centre, Abuja was attended by a huge number of customers of the bank from different parts of the country. Special guests in attendance are top management staff of the ASO Savings & Loans Plc. They include Mr. Muhammed Shehu, Executive Director, Operations, Mr. Peter Longe, Executive Director, Finance, Salman Muhammed, and Mr.Tony Edet Edet both Group Heads.
Various industry regulatory bodies were also represented by their top executives. They were Mrs. Martha Onyebuchi of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, Engineer Shamm T. Kolo of Consumers Protection Council, Abuja, Mallam Baba Adamu of National Lottery Commission.
The Save & Win promo was a six month customers acquisition and account growing marketing campaign that promised to reward lucky winners with fabulous prizes that include: 20 Flat Screen Television Sets, 30 Refrigerators, 40 Deep Fryers and 50 Microwave Ovens, while a star prize winner will win a three bedroom bungalow in a choice part of Abuja; Nigeria’s federal capital territory.
The promo was launched across all the branch network of the mortgage finance bank in the four geo political zones of the country on June 15, 2011 and was officially rounded off on December 15, 2011.

It is also a property acquisition platform for all our prospective, new and old customers.
