By: BIG ARTS BIG ARTS Phillips Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays. The gallery is located at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel, and is open to the public. Multiples is open through Monday, February 27. All works are for sale. The exhibit’s First Place winner is Dale Weber, Fire Hoses; Second Place is Anne Gates Yarnall, Two Mirrors; and Third Place winner is Morgan Raines, Pelican Sunset. Judge’s Merit Awards were given to Cheryl A. Fausel and Carol M. Rosenberg. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Rita Mach Skoczen, Kathy Ross, Brian Bent Christensen and Carl Schwartz. This exhibit’s juror, Lynn Loscutoff is an accomplished artist, gallery owner, teacher and author, living in Naples, FL, and Gloucester, MA. Lynn works mostly in watercolor on Yudo paper, and also in oils. Much of her inspiration comes from her life of extensive traveling. She has traveled all over the world, and has even taught art to passengers aboard various cruise lines. Loscutoff has written three books and teaches at the Naples United Church of Christ and The von Liebig Art Center. In jurying Multiples she looked for repetition in a work’s subject matter, and recurrence in form, color, and medium. Multiples exhibit supported by Visual Arts Patron Season Sponsors June Rosner and Russ Bilgore.
