Sign-ups Underway for Miller YMCA Youth Basketball League in Newbury Park

Feb. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- NEWBURY PARK, CALIF.--A youth indoor basketball league is forming at the Miller YMCA of Newbury Park. The league is for children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.

   On March 10, a basketball evaluation day will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Miller YMCA (320 Via Las Brisas). Practices will be determined by team coaches. Both games and practices will be held at the Sycamore Canyon School gym (4601 Via Rio Newbury Park).
   
   The eight-game season begins March 24. The league consists of four divisions: Division One, pre-k and kindergarten, Division Two, first and second graders, Division Three, third and fourth graders and Division Four, fifth and sixth graders.

   League fees are $120 ($140 when signing up after February 29). The fee includes a team jersey and shorts.
