Feb. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Dakota County resident, Annie Suckow has released her first children's book, "Corny, the Lost Unicorn," a story geared toward children up to age eight.  The story features a forgetful young unicorn who wanders away from home.  Along the way, Corny meets new friends, finds self-confidence, and ultimately finds his way back to his home in the forest.

Suckow, 11 years old, has written many stories, but this is her first published book.  "I'm really excited, and also a little embarrassed by all the attention," said Suckow.

She created the book originally as a hand-colored, hand-written book smaller than a deck of cards and stapled together. After bringing it to school, several of her classmates asked for a copy. After meticulously recreating and hand-drawing eight copies, Suckow's mother decided to pursue publishing the book, which was just released on Amazon this morning.

Suckow hopes to become a writer when she grows up, and already has started working on her second book.

"Corny the Lost Unicorn" is available for purchase at http://www.Amazon.com for $7.99.
