Valentine-themed Jewelry Show and Sale

(February 4, 2012) Jewelry is one of the traditional go-to gifts for Valentine’s Day. If that’s your choice, it isn’t too late to find just the right piece – and it can be custom jewelry -- designed by local well-known artist, Diana Campbell Rice. She will offer her custom jewelry lines at a Metro Galleries’ show and sale, Designs of the Heart, Thursday, February 9, 4-8 p.m., 1604 19th St. The show is geared toward Valentine’s Day, featuring necklaces, bracelets and earrings designed by the artist.
Campbell Rice is known for eclectic and individual pieces in three lines, Industrial Bling, Tiny Crow and Comfort. Each line features a distinctive style -- vintage beads, modern-contemporary charms, enameled scrabble tiles, bird nests with pearl bead eggs and reproduction typewriter keys -- on silver-plate or stainless steel ball chain. The artist also created a few select sterling silver pieces exclusively for this show. Items are offered in a variety of price points.

An artist in a variety of mediums, Campbell Rice’s work has been featured in California galleries in San Diego, Cambria, Morro Bay and Bakersfield, as well as Colorado and Alaska.
