New Career Readiness and Preparation App - Food Terminology, Safety and Sanitation

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 4, 2012 - e Skills Minimod Food Terminology, Safety and Sanitation was developed to help students practice and master important word recognition and vocabulary skills essential for success in further coursework and employment in today's culinary industry. Food Terminology, Safety and Santiation is part of e Skills Learning's Career Readiness and Preparation App Series.

Ways to Play  
Practice Level The student selects the correct response to answer the question. An incorrect response allows the student to read the sentence again and select the correct answer.

Single Player The student plays a Bingo-like game against the computer. He/she reads the word/definition/sentence. Given three answer choices, the student will decide which answer is the best. Correctly identifying the answer allows the student to place a marker on the game card. Five markers in a row win the game.

Multi Player The student plays a Bingo-like game against another student. The first student to fill his/her game card with five markers in a row wins the game.

4 Different Games  
Find the Missing Letter - Complete the word by selecting the correct missing letter(s).

Find the Right Word - A definition is presented and the student must select the correct word that matches the definition.

Find the Right Term - A sentence is presented with a missing word (term). The student must find the correct word to complete the sentence correctly.

Unscramble the Word - A vocabulary word is shown in scrambled form. The student must unscramble the word for the 3 choices shown.
