“By updating and adding to the physical space, we’ve subsequently improved our resident services in those areas,” said Rob Salierno, executive director of Claridge Court, owned and operated by Lifespace Communities, Inc. “These upgrades address the desires of the residents and enrich the overall lifestyle at Claridge Court.”
The existing dining room was remodeled for an updated look and feel. Acoustics in the space were improved to allow for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The community also expanded its dining options by adding The Grille, a bistro-style restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. The Grille, which can accommodate up to 45 guests, features an alternate menu to the main dining room and offers items such gourmet sandwiches, salads, milkshakes and other casual fare.
“Variety is important to our residents, and The Grille gives them a completely different selection and atmosphere than was available before,” said Salierno. “People can gather with friends at the Prairie View Pub for a cocktail, then walk down the hall to either of the beautiful, new restaurants. It’s a complete dining experience.”
Claridge Court’s fitness center was remodeled and features brand-new cardiovascular and weight equipment. The center was expanded to add space for aerobics, chair yoga and other exercise classes. Residents also have access to two professional fitness instructors for personal training sessions.
The renovations enhanced the community’s on-site health center by adding a new wing with an additional 10 private skilled nursing suites. Claridge Court residents have guaranteed lifetime access to the health center, if ever needed.
