Zufall Adventures Issues Valentine’s Day Challenge: Un-Plan Your Date!

To avoid Valentine’s Date Stress, couples are challenged to reject holiday conventions

Feb. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Zufall Adventures by Chance has issued a challenge to all couples and lovers this Valentine’s Day. Forget about the flowers, the cards, the dinner reservations and the heart-shaped boxes. Roll the dice and let chance create a holiday full of surprise and romance.

“Too often, couples get caught up in the trappings of the holiday. They spend the night dining elbow to elbow with other couples in a crowded restaurant or sheepishly hand over last-minute mediocre chocolates in a red, heart-shaped box. And that’s after weeks of suffering through ‘Valentine’s Date Stress’ hoping to live up to their partner’s expectations,” explained Zufall Adventures Co-Founder Valerie McTavish.

Instead, the couple behind Zufall Adventures suggest other couples join them in letting go of expectations, avoid the stress of planning and the inevitable disappointment at the end of the night. They encourage partners to make a pact to leave the night to chance.

The Valentine’s Day Challenge is no surprise coming from a couple who know a little something about leaving things to chance. The founders of http://www.ZufallAdventures.com  developed a dice game that takes decision making out of the dating process by rolling the dice to decide which direction to travel in and how far to go in that direction. Over the past 10 years, the couple has discovered new areas of town, rediscovered favourite restaurants, traveled around North America, South America and Asia – all by the roll of the dice.  They even purchased a house, by chance!

The Zufall dice went digital earlier this year with the launch of a mobile application. The Zufall Adventures app is available for all iOS products (iPhone, iPad, iTouch) and Windows Phone.  Using the mobile version of the Zufall dice, couples choose from a variety of dating adventures to embark on, shake the digital dice and follow the app’s GPS enabled map. Once they arrive in the Zufall Zone as determined by the dice, the app shows them what’s in the area.

“It’s a totally spontaneous way to find fun,” said Tim Wohlberg, Co-Founder of Zufall Adventures, “and it puts the focus back on couples spending time together. When you let go of the dinner, flowers and chocolate expectations, you open yourself up to surprise and romance.”

Adventurous couples accept the challenge by joining the Valentine's Date by Chance event on Facebook. Each day from Feb. 10 - 19, they can check http://www.facebook.com/zufalladventures for the random roll of the day. Or, they can download the Zufall Adventures App, purchase the original Zufall Adventures kit on the Zufall website or ask for a free personal roll via Twitter.

McTavish added, “We know couples are tired of the same old, same old Valentine’s Date but they can’t break out of their routine. This is their chance. Accept the challenge, roll the dice and have a Valentine’s Date that’s guaranteed to be a memorable one.”
