The Caring Effect, a Minnesota nonprofit, will air its latest edition of their online radio show at 10 a.m. Central time on Friday, February 3rd, 2012. The show will feature three guests: a veteran from the war in Iraq, a volunteer from the support organization Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, and the Director of Military Outreach from the Minnesota Department of Military Affairs.

In addition to shedding light on the challenges soldiers experience when returning home, the show will provide information on how to learn more about services for military families and how to help soldiers through volunteering or donations.

"This will be a very touching radio broadcast," said Beth Ulrich, who is the co-founder of The Caring Effect as well as the radio show host. She was also formerly in the Army Reserves. "We all know that soldiers returning from deployment suffer from a range of challenges, including re-integration, health problems and finding employment. We just don't know how to help. This show will give people a very real sense of both the needs and the opportunities."

Beth added that military families also often need services such as counseling and support, and the show will help listeners to better understand some of these challenges. "While we are based in Minnesota, these kinds of services can be found through a wide array of charities and organizations that offer help to people in need. Our role is to create awareness of the needs of military families and returning soldiers and provide a resource for learning how to making a difference."

To tune into the show, simply visit The Caring Effect Radio Show on Serving Our Soldiers at the scheduled time. After the radio show, the program will be available for listening at any time on The Caring Effect website.
