From Pixels To Print: A Photo Extravaganza - Florida Camera Club Council 2012 Conference

Feb. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Eric Hansen, Conference Chairperson, announced today that the Florida Camera Club Council (FCCC) will hold its 2012 Annual Conference from March 23 through March 25 at the Naples Hilton Conference Center.  All photo enthusiasts are invited to attend.  Check out the website listed below for online registration details.

FCCC is an association of 55 camera clubs throughout Florida with over 6,000 members.  It was founded in 1959 as an umbrella body to facilitate the interchange of ideas and photographic information among its member clubs.

The theme of the conference is “From Pixels to Print”.   The latest technologies in digital photography, image editing software and print making will be discussed by the various conference speakers, presenters, session leaders and facilitators.

World-renowned photographer, author and Canon Explorer of Light, George Lepp, will give the Kick-Off Address.  He will also lead a workshop into the Everglades.  The world’s foremost bird photographer, Artie Morris, will give the Keynote Address.  He is also a Canon Explorer of Light.  Bill Fortney, Nikon’s Ambassador of Photography will present a talk on “Today’s Photography.”

In addition, internationally known photographer, conservationist and lecturer, Connie Bransilver, will present a program on “Photographic Conservation.”  In recent months, she was part of a team financed by National Geographic that discovered a new species or sub-species of lemur in Madagascar.  

Outings at various area locations include:  Corkscrew Sanctuary, Naples Botanical Garderns, Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Kowiachobee Animal Preserve, Tiger Tail Beach Bird Walk, Fakahatchee Strand, Clam Pass, Naples Zoo, Kirby Storter Marsh Walk, Koreshan Historical Preserve and Harns Marsh Wildlife Preserve.

Ten workshops include:  HDR, Photo Book Publishing, Travel Photography, Outdoor Portraiture, Lightroom, Exciting Slideshows, Photoshop, Lighting and Modeling, Micro/Macro Photography, and Framing and Matting.

Seminars, photo ops and a trade show will fill out this jam packed educational event.
