Fluid Tech Machines Chooses Greenville, SC to Launch North American Sales & Service Operation

Feb. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC – The Greenville Area Development Corporation today announced that Fluid Tech Machines Inc., which engineers and designs custom “smart machines” that combine multiple processes within a single cycle and specialize in the fluid transfer component arena, has established its new North American sales and service facility in Greenville County. The undisclosed investment is expected to generate at least 3-5 new jobs as the company becomes fully operational.

Fluid Tech Machines (FTM) initially began operations in 2006 near Chicago driven by customer contacts held by its Swedish owners.  With a heavy business concentration in serving the fluid transfer needs of Tier 1 automotive suppliers, including providers of brakes and fuel lines, FTM became increasingly interested in re-establishing their growing operation to the Southeast, noted Technical & Sales Manager Ron Leva.

“Our proprietary equipment lines, engineered and developed by Lantz Teknik AB of Sweden, are arguably the finest and most advanced in the world, and in significant demand by automotive, aviation, aerospace and other heavy industries where fluid transfer is essential,” stated Leva.  “We have a significant and growing customer base here in the Upstate already.  Combined with Greenville County’s outstanding quality of life, and its easy air and ground accessibility to all major North and South American market, it became clear this was the right place for us to locate and grow.  We are happy to be here.”

Fluid Tech Machines’ new operations will include sales, technical support and service for the full line of Lantz Teknik equipment and software solutions, with future plans to add both engineering and manufacturing operations at a later time to the Greenville operation as business expands.  

Specializing in consolidating production processes that are often difficult to automate, Fluid Tech and Lantz Teknik engineer and design machines with artificial intelligence that combine multiple processes within a single production cycle, improving  production quality and efficiency while enhancing safety and productivity.  The company specializes in assembly, crimping, pressure testing and cleaning equipment requiring intricate measurement and extreme tolerances.  Included among the company’s current customer base are TI Automotive, YH America South Carolina, Eaton Aeroquip, Halla and Visteon, among numerous others.

The company, located in the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center (SC-TAC) at 203 Echelon Road, has several positions to fill, including immediate need for an Electro-Mechanical Technician.  The company will continue to add equipment assemblers, sales, and office support roles as business dictates, noted Leva.
