Joanne Kellett, originally from Preston, has been appointed the new events and sales manager at the Legacy Hollin Hall Country House Hotel in Jackson Lane, Kerridge and will oversee all the venue’s events – while building on its reputation as the perfect setting for country weddings.
The 27-year-old has worked in hotel events, and as a wedding specialist, since receiving her degree in public relations and event management from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2005.
She is relishing this new role and the freedom it will allow her to create bespoke weddings for couples, offering a more personal service.
“I have always been involved in events but I particularly enjoy working on private events such as weddings,” Joanne said.
“The opportunity to work with people on private events and give them that more personal touch is what attracted me to this role, plus the setting here is fantastic for a wedding with nice grounds for photographs.
“Weddings really are the focus for us but we also stage lots of smaller events such as daily meetings for local businesses as well as Christmas parties, birthday parties, christenings and funerals.
“Most people who get married haven’t done it before so it is part of my job to offer guidance and help them with everything they need to do before the day, pulling everything together and finalising all the details.
“I always like to be there on the day to ensure everything runs exactly to plan as well.”
One of Joanne’s first big events at the hotel will be its bi-annual wedding fayre on Saturday, March 24 which will see the three-star venue transformed into a bridal heaven where brides-to-be can pick up all the information they need to arrange their upcoming weddings.
