2011, A Year Of Consolidations And Expansion Of Products Portfolio

Feb. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- In Socrate+, the ERP solution designed especially for retail, distribution and manufacturing, a complex „Projects” functionality was developed, allowing companies working on projects, to plan and track, from the financial point of view, the projects execution, on any of their phases. It was also developed a number of specific functionalities for retail and distribution, such as introduction of preset store formats (retailers reducing the set-up time for opening new stores), sales process automation of "packed products” entered in the store initially as bulk products (eliminating 100% the human operating effort for treating the incidents in store reception), providing mechanisms that automate the printing process of shelf price labels directly from a reception and generate internal bar-codes, integrations with online banking for ING Bank, Unicredit-Ţiriac Bank, BRD Group Societe Generale, Transilvania Bank and Raiffeisen Bank, and much more.

   For SocrateOpen, the ERP & CRM open source solution provided by BITSoftware, 2011 meant the development of new features especially in the area of Fleet Management, Warehouse Management and Logistics, providing more flexibility and efficiency for companies operating in the discrete manufacturing and construction.

Meanwhile, the efforts were channeled toward expanding products portfolio with Business Intelligence (BI) solutions integrated with Socrate+ ERP and SocrateOpen ERP&CRM. So, SocrateBI was officially launched in November, being developed on MicroStrategy platform, the largest independent provider of Business Intelligence solutions in the world. The first release of SocrateBI includes three modules: Financial Reporting Analysis Module (FRAM), Sales and Customer Analysis Module (SCAM) and Project Controlling Analysis Module (PCAM), offering an increased flexibility in the business decision making process.

And, as a result of strategic partnership with MicroStrategy, the BITSoftware`s BI solution users have access to the latest features available in MicroStrategy platform: MicroStrategy Mobile (provides reporting information and analysis capabilities on mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry or those that use Android platform), Transaction Services (a new extension of Intelligence Server allowing 'write-back' capabilities in reports and dashboards, using SQL for database and XQuery to Web services), or Visual Insight (helping in quickly development of customized and interactive analysis that can be used to explore data).

2011 represented also a proactive involvement in the partnership with Google, for Google Apps, which were implemented in companies activating in various sectors (distribution, production, salubrity, etc.). The integration between GoogleApps and ERP & CRM solution open source SocrateOpen is planned, in order to add to BITSoftware`s portfolio solutions which can streamline companies activity, integrated applications that can be easily accessed from anywhere,  with reduced costs compared to traditional one.

2011 meant for BITSoftware a turnover increase by 20%, strengthening the company's presence in its traditional verticals (retail, distribution, professional services, construction, manufacturing, food industry, telecom and agriculture) and enriching the product portfolio with business intelligence solution SocrateBI.

For 2012, BITSoftware`s strategy is to further grow, by diversifying the solutions and services, by expanding on foreign markets with flexible ERP solutions and last, but not least, by increasing satisfaction and loyalty of existing customers.
