A New Project for Actress Thushari Jayasekera?

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 2, 2012 - American actress Thushari Jayasekera, who struggled to make it on her own terms in the Hollywood entertainment industry, has an interesting new project coming up. Thushari worked on a  project for the powerhouse,"the Publisher's Choice", Deyan Audio and  signed contract for an audiobook adventure. "It is a wonderful opportunity and a great pleasure to work with the Deyan team including Bob, Debra and Sebastian," says Thushari. Her breakthru role was on television as Pinky on NBC's hit cultural comedy Outsourced(2010-2011, 22), (which can be seen now on DVD, Netflix & on Zee Cafe) Fans of the show found Pinky's ditzy, tough, adventerous B team call center worker character developed through the season to be endearing.

Getty Images' Frazer Harrison and Kevin Winter captured her photo on the Emmy Red Carpet 2011, where she was wearing a Sari. It is an important highlight of someone who struggled to make it in the industry like Thushari who is of diverse cultural heritage.

Currently Thushari is working on her own experimental sketch/stand up comedy short titled Jelly Jam. Recently she got on the S** Girls Say parody bandwagon with 1 explicit & 1 clean parody of a parody videos on youtube.

Keep an eye out for her this spring as a guest artist on the pilot episode of Don't Trust the B*** in Apartment 23 on ABC.

Her dream is to be able to work on creative projects and help bring stories to life and for one day to be nominated for or to  win an Emmy, a Golden Globe, Oscar or other award of achievement for her work.
