Hosted by Ariane Aramburo, co-host of WAVY-TV 10's Hampton Roads Show.

"Legacies was created in 2002 to be an intergenerational program with components tailored to all ages," explains Edith White, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League's Hampton Roads chapter. "The awards program was developed to recognize those in the community who continue a legacy of service, excellence and giving as part of their daily lives. Our ULHRYP group does an outstanding job of producing this highly anticipated event annually. It truly is the highlight of our endeavors." In commemoration of the event's 10th year, Legacies's theme is B.E.A.M. — Bridging the gap, Empowering people, Advocating for the community and Making a difference. The theme serves to highlight the Urban League's local, regional, and national call-to-action mission. Ensuring a heritage of its own, the Urban League of Hampton Roads has a rich legacy of empowering, inspiring and cultivating citizens throughout the community.
