Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- A man trying to track down the father he’s never known gets more than he bargained for in the gritty novel The Right to Belong.

Thirty-eight-year-old New Yorker Pete Mitchell declares to his sons how fortunate they are to be growing up with a father, since he didn’t have that opportunity. Pete decides to track down his father, only to learn that the man is now 72 years old, has had a stroke, and has raised another family in England. Pete travels to London to meet the man and get some closure in his life.

What should be a happy family reunion is marred by bitterness, when his father’s other children resent Pete entering their lives. There is a struggle over inheritance, and all hell breaks loose. All along Pete was only looking for The Right to Belong. Instead, he finds that your journey doesn’t always lead to where you want.
