Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, N.C. – Carolina Hyperbarics (http://www.nchbo.com) invites Triangle Area residents to join them on Thursday, February 2 from 4 to 7 PM for refreshments and demonstrations of their new state-of-the art facility at 8300 Health Park in Raleigh.  Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a proven, medical treatment that can benefit patients with a variety of conditions and help speed healing. The treatment encourages the body to build new capillaries and reduce inflammation from injury, surgery or chronic illness. At Carolina Hyperbarics, patients receive Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the world’s largest, most advanced single person hyperbaric chambers.

Mary Marchbanks, President and COO, says, “We want to welcome one and all to our new Raleigh location at American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness ® off Six Forks Road.  Josh Hamilton, of the Texas Rangers, came home to Raleigh after a big baseball season and we treated him at Carolina Hyperbarics to help him recover more quickly from his hernia surgery after this year’s World Series.  Josh also credits us with helping him stay in the game after cracking his ribs in the 2010 World Series and wants folks in the Raleigh area to check out Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for themselves.”

All treatment is administered by their experienced, certified staff under the supervision of Medical Director, Dr. Jay Stevens, founder of Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine. Dr. Stevens has served as head medical physician for the Carolina Hurricanes since the inception of the organization in 1997 and he also serves as head company physician for the Carolina Ballet. He is a long-time member of NHL Team Physicians Society and is an expert on asthma and respiratory problems in athletes. Dr. Stevens also serves as the President and Medical Director of the American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness in North Raleigh. Among other awards, Dr. Stevens was the 1999 recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of North Carolina.
