One local couple has an incredible story about the unique and beautiful way they tied the knot amongst the hills of Tuscany in a church from the 1600’s in Florence, Italy.

Tiffany and Franco were very fortunate to be linked with Tara, as having an American wedding planner made the process that much smoother considering the language barrier and time difference. However, her ability to work with her established relationships in Italy in accordance to their budget is what really made her the driving force behind this dream wedding.
After 7 months and 3 trips back and forth to Florence working with the Bishop in Orlando, the American Bishop at the Duomo, and appealing before the Diocese in Florence Tara was able to confirm their church of choice. This made her the first American wedding planner to obtain Santi Michele e Gaetano for a wedding.
The ceremony was held in Florence and after which 80 guests were whisked away by 11 Mercedes mini vans to the hills of Chianti for the reception at Villa La Giglioa, once a stately home and church in the 1300s.
It is now a luxury resort and winery owned by Anna Piazzini which produces first-class wines that appear in the acclaimed wine guide of Gambero Rosso.
On the evening of October 12th 2011, at the reception of Franco and Tiffany, the Piazzini family and Weddings Under the Tuscan proved that history and tradition was the perfect combination for a magical wedding that no one will soon forget.
