Users of PatBase – the respected international patent family database from Minesoft and RWS Group – will notice an enhanced service from February 2012 thanks to the completion of stage one of a two-stage extensive system upgrade.

PatBase continues to enjoy strong growth, attracting new customers as well as experiencing considerable growth in reliance of existing users on this particular searchable database of patent information. With more information professionals relying on PatBase to carry out their core patent research than ever before, Minesoft and RWS Group have significantly increased server capacity to provide more power behind the scenes - ensuring improved efficiency and performance without interrupting service.

Housed in RWS’ new state-of-the art data centre unveiled last year, the additional servers will ensure an accelerated performance when searching and reviewing full text patent documents in PatBase and the end-user interface PatBase Express. Stage 2 of the upgrade will provide for increased data storage. Anticipating a continuation of this strong growth in demand in 2012, the combined upgrade ensures there is room for new users and heavier usage in future.
