Domain Surgical Announces the Release of New FMwand Surgical Tool for Tissue Resection

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 31, 2012 - Domain Surgical, Inc., a medical device company developing advanced thermal surgical technology for soft tissue cutting and coagulation, today announced that it has released a new surgical resecting tool for its FMwand Ferromagnetic Surgical System.

The new FMwand 10 mm Resecting Loop was designed specifically to enable surgeons to efficiently remove tissue (tumors, for example) with less bleeding and minimized damage to surrounding healthy tissue. The new 10 mm Resecting Loop simultaneously cuts and coagulates without passing electrical current into the patient. Depending on the orientation, the surgeon can use the tool as both a dissecting blade or as a resecting loop.
