Language Open Learning launches second phase of video English course for Spanish speakers

Jan. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Since part one of the launch in August 2011, the online language school has grown in popularity and has attracted  over 10,000 followers on Facebook with more than 30% of these having Spanish as their native language.

“The demand for an open learning language course is growing, especially in the Asian countries and Latin American countries, ” says Ken Thorkildsen, founder of Language Open Learning “and we see our online English video lessons filling a gap that is there. There is a mixed bag of English language resources but few focus on providing an actual course from A to Z from an absolute beginner to those looking to brush up on their technical English”

The Language Open Learning Learn English Video Course is aimed at those from ages 16+ and who can commit around 30 minutes to 45 minutes each day to learning English. Each lesson has a video, lesson transcript and a new vocabulary list of 25 words on average. The student is encouraged to speak English immediately using the new vocabulary and see how this is used and integrated in conversation.

So what’s next for Language open Learning? Ken Thorkildsen has indicated that the website will shortly have the full Thai translation for English learners and users in Laos and Thailand. The Chinese translation of the website will be completed within weeks.
