ScottMadden: Special Thanks to Walt Simpson

Jan. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- ScottMadden, Inc., partner Walt Simpson has announced his retirement after almost two decades of service. Simpson has been a partner at ScottMadden since 1994.

During his tenure at ScottMadden, Walt provided functional expertise in strategic and business planning, financial, information and work management systems, and organization analysis and design. Over the past several years, he was a leader in the firm’s corporate and shared services practice.

“When I decided to go into consulting,” said Simpson, “I chose ScottMadden because it delivered the client-focused, value-based consulting that I wanted to do. I found it to be the perfect place for me, and I am very proud to have been a part of this firm. “When asked how he will spend his retirement hours, Simpson replied, “I have no big plan, but lots of little plans—I intend to stay busy!”

Previous to joining ScottMadden, Simpson was manager of nuclear business operations for Carolina Power & Light Company (now Progress Energy). He also held several other management positions with the utility. Simpson earned a B.S. in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
