New Social Media Site for Teens, "Make It Better Right Now," Tackles Important Issues

Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Adolescence can be a bitch. Kids can be mean. Hateful. Especially to each other. Relentless bullying and abuse can result in suicide by kids who can’t take it anymore and see no hope. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a safe place teens could go and find friendship, support, answers, and resources -- and have a voice?

Now there is. A place that intends to MAKE IT BETTER RIGHT NOW.

MIBRN creator/administrator Kevin A. Carey-Infante, who himself was abused and brutally bullied when he was a teen, is quoted as saying:

“Welcome to MakeItBetterRightNow.com, or, as we like to call ourselves: MIBRN. Thanks to your voice, MIBRN has grown into a social media website for all teens – black, white, yellow, red, gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, the victims of bullying and abuse, and yes, even the bullies and abusers of the world. You are all welcome here. We are on servers throughout the world. You will get to meet and interact with teens just like yourself who are going through the same things you are, just in different towns, cities, time zones and countries all over the globe.

“MIBRN is a website created for teens moderated by teens. It’s a safe and secure place for teens like you to come to get support, learn about issues that matter to you. Most importantly, however, is that it is a place for you to come and talk to each other and tell your stories without the fear of being judged or ridiculed. The concept for MIBRN was born out of the many tragic deaths from bullycide (people who commit suicide because they felt that they could no longer deal with the relentless bullying they were forced to live with.) Tyler Clementi, Cassidy Joy Andel and Justin Aaberg are just a handful of those souls.”

The MIBRN site is currently following hundreds of teens with issues, but can help many more.
