International coach launches Rockville Centre Track Club

Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- "We created the Rockville Centre SPG Track Club for athletes who play different sports but have an interest in running track for fun or to stay in shape during their off season. We wanted to give those athletes an opportunity to try track, without having to commit to lots of training and time. Having said that, we make the most of our training sessions and give our athletes a solid introduction to the sport."

SPG Track Club trains once per week, with an optional practice during the week. Training begins in March and runs through August.   The 2011 SPG Track Club will accept athletes from 7-18. years of age. young  athletes who show promise will makeup the travel divisionand  will compete in 2-year age groups  in regional and  national events.

Massillon whose credits include some of the fastest track  athletes in the world believes the Long Island area is in dire need of an opportunity to showcase  athletes  to both colleges and to broaden the childrens horizon on the joy of track and field.He insists " You may not always be a football Player but once you fall in love with track,youll always be a runner" He also points out that it is an inclusive sport and not excluding the field events, . " this is the only sport that has an event for every body type ,every height and every asset that a child posseses.

Our immediate goal is to open the the registration to Rockville Centre and begin to pool the Long Island area vast running community into for a national power .
