Popular Culture to Be On Display and Celebrated at the Mississippi Pulp Con 2012

The newest edition of the MS Pulp Con, to be held from noon until midnight at the Arts Center of Mississippi in downtown Jackson on February 11th 2012 will celebrate pop culture with artists, guests, and a film fest, among many other offerings.
 
Jan. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- The MS Pulp Con will feature artists (including guest of honor zombie artist Billy Tackett and professional props maker Chris Russell), authors (including professor of English at UWA, Dr. Alan Brown), filmmakers (including Richard Landry and stuntman Ted Alderman), paranormal groups (including luminary Patrick Burns from TruTV and the Travel Channel), the Blackhearts Ball (with special guest dancer Alia Thabit) and an all day film festival brought to you by The Watcher’s Council & Film Society honoring Women in Horror Month and featuring, among others, an award winning short film starring Jackson, Mississippi’s own Kit Williamson.

"Alright Mississippi, you've asked for it, so I'm giving it to you. My biggest, grandest and best event yet," Charles Walter Jett, founder of the Pulp Con said. "You name it, you’ve got it! Artists, authors, a film festival, filmmakers, dance guests plus the annual Blackhearts Ball. This event is taking a whole lot of work to put together, but you deserve it!"

Not only will the Pulp Con feature the above mentioned guests and events, there will also be numerous other artists and special guests, including the Mississippi Mandalorians, the Mississippi Ghostbusters, and the Mississippi Society of Paranormal Investigators, just to name a few. The day is full of opportunities to explore culture and celebrate what Mississippi has to offer artistically.
