At Mad Ants Sport we have designed a project to inspire and teach youth enterprise students the key skills for business. ‘Antprentice’ The founders of Mad Ants Sport, Kelly Lickley and Nikki Johnson have extensive knowledge and experience in finance & management and marketing & media. They have combined their skills in business with their training and tutoring experience which enables them to understand and deliver to a range of ages, abilities and backgrounds. Kelly and Nikki are now delighted to be working with Claire Young. www.madantsport.org CLAIRE YOUNG Mad Ants Sport have partnered up with Claire Young, entrepreneur and Apprentice TV star who made the finals in 2008. Claire is well known for her straight talking, no-nonsense business approach and since the show has worked non-stop setting up numerous business ventures which include School Speakers and Girls Out Loud. Claire is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and enterprise to our youth. Claire is also the Honorary President of Young Chamber UK, a non-profit social enterprise organisation which is dedicated to ensuring that young people of all levels of ability and background are equipped with the skills needed to fulfil their aspirations and achieve their goals. Mad Ants are delighted to have partnered up with Claire Young and believe the ‘Antprentice’ ‘A great young business woman; best example of Apprentice to Entrepreneur’ Claire is a whirlwind of entrepreneurial energy! Her ethos JDI – Just Do It – mirrors what the Peter Jones Foundation is all about; that anything is achievable if you put your mind to it. She’s a big hit with our students, weaving serious business lessons with a practical down to earth approach . On a personal note, it’s a pleasure to work with Claire, always a true professional and she always gives her 110%. - Peter Jones, Peter Jones Foundation ‘ANTPRENTICE’ ‘Antprentice’ MAD ASPIRATIONS Mad Ants Sport have big aspirations for the future, currently working on their new website, Mad Ants Equestrian which is already going down well in some colleges across the country who deliver equestrian courses. The third phase of the business is to launch their outdoor pursuit website which will include products for camping, rock climbing, skiing etc... and the fourth phase is to launch their own clothing range for the outdoor market. Each of these three websites in time will be used for students involved in the ‘Antprentice’ The aim is to roll the ‘Antprentice’ ‘Peterborough Skills Service is thrilled to be able to support this exciting, inclusive and innovative project. Not only will it develop employability skills for all young people involved but it will encourage and assist some ‘budding entrepreneurs’ CURRENT PROJECT Mad Ants are currently working with 18 sixth form students at a local academy in Peterborough to organise a beach festival in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’. The students have shown great enthusiasm and have come up with some fantastic ideas and in order to further their knowledge of basic business skills we have come up with the ‘Antprentice’ End
