SAP Upgrade Customer List Released

Jan. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- A new survey shows that a over a third of the SAP customers (37%) are still using older versions of SAP. The majority of those that have not yet upgraded have either already started their upgrade or will start the project within the next 6 months.

These projects are primarily driven by end of maintenance concerns, cited by over two thirds of the respondents as a top reason for upgrades. End of maintenance for Pre-ECC 6.0 versions was realigned by SAP to March 2013.

The survey also highlights the significant cost and effort that go into upgrade projects. The median effort for organizations with over 2,500 users is 3,350 person days over 31 weeks. The median project budget for these organizations is over 1.4 million US dollars.
