Teentraveltalk.com announces the first annual Family Travel Expo

Jan. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Family Travel Marketing Services (FTMS) – parent company of the teen-written blog Teentraveltalk.com – announces the first annual Family Travel Expo on March 24, 2012 in Nutley, NJ.

    “I’ve attended many consumer travel shows but never one that focused on travel and leisure destinations for families,” said Family Travel Expert Luisa Frey, owner of FTMS. “What parents, kids and teens want in a travel and leisure experience greatly differs from what couples are looking for.” With this in mind, Ms. Frey created the Family Travel Expo which will be held as part of a popular Family History Day.

Family-friendly exhibitors

Well-known names in family travel will be exhibiting including: Beaches Resorts, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamaica Tourist Board, Kittatinny Canoes, MSC Cruises, Meadowlands (NJ) Visitors’ Bureau, Moreys Piers & Resorts,  Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Rocking Horse Ranch, Rustic Pathways, Sesame Place, Sonesta Hotels, and event sponsor Trafalgar Family Experiences. Parents, grandparents, teens and kids will have the opportunity to explore an exciting array of options to enhance their travel experience.

Bringing families together through shared, positive travel experiences

During the Expo, parents will discover family travel and leisure options for day, weekend or week-long vacations.  

   “I find that any type of travel and leisure activity away from the home fosters family bonding,” said Ms. Frey. Consistent with FTMS’ mission, the Family Travel Expo offers options for low, medium or high budgets to help bring parents and children together via shared, positive travel and leisure experiences.

In addition, the following family travel experts will be on hand to answer questions: teen travel bloggers from Teentraveltalk.com, who’ve written approximately 550 teen-focused travel articles; Luisa Frey, who has authored hundreds of family vacation articles for major travel publications and has been quoted on ABC NEWS.com; and Rainer Jenss, former editor of National Geographic Kids magazine who traveled around the world with his family.

Free travel prizes and kid-friendly entertainment

Children will be “edu-tained” by fun, hands-on learning activities. These free activities include crafts themed around history and world cultures; historical re-enactors dressed in period clothes; and History Fair projects created by Nutley children.

All attendees at Family Travel Expo have an opportunity to win free prizes: digital camera and tickets for three families to attend a regional theme park during the 2012 season.

Family Travel Expo is on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nutley High School gymnasium, 300 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110. Attendance is free. Lunch is available for a fee on site.
