‘The Kadambini’, Premier monthly family magazine of Odisha

Jan. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- ‘The Kadambini’ is the largest circulated (47,722 copies, certified by ABC) monthly family magazine of Odisha with an effective readership of about 1.44 million.

Kadambini Media has also ventured into the audio-visual medium. So far it has produced several music albums and Video CDs of popular songs. Kadambini Media also has marked its debut in films with its maiden production ‘Kathantara’ (Another Story), a film with 1999 Super-cyclone as its backdrop. ‘Kathantara’ went on to bag Eight Awards in the 18th Odisha State Film Awards apart from winning the Silver Lotus for the Best Odia Feature Film for the year 2005 in the 53rd National Film Awards.

Kadambini Media Pvt. Ltd.has also instituted several Awards for rising talents in various fields and honours them during the anniversary function of ‘The Kadambini’. In this occasion the prestigious ‘Kadambini Sammana’ is also presented to an individual in recognition of his/her contribution to art, literature, social service, education, administration and industries etc. All the awards contain cash component and special gift items.

‘Kadambini Patrikaa Haata’ (Magazine Exhibition) is an innovative idea of the organisation. Its aim and objective is to invite all the publishers and editors of different magazines for showcasing their magazines on a common platform to share views. ‘Kadambini Patrikaa Haata’ was launched in 2009 and was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Shri M.C. Bhandare.
