After first two failed attempts at maintaining a successful marriage Jennifer Lopez rushed into a third one with Marc Anthony, a 42 year old Puerto Rico-American musician, actor and producer. But regretfully third time also proved nothing better. After 7 struggling years into marriage they finally announced their divorce last month. This came as a shock to many of J.Lo and Marc fans who considered their relation as an icon for themselves.
Jennifer and Marc were married secretly on June 5, 2004 at her home in Beverly Hills, California. Their wedding took place four days after his (Marc) divorce. The guests merely been invited to afternoon lunch did not know they would be attending a wedding. So it won’t be unfair to say that their marriage ended as secretly as it had started.
"It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves”. It was in her first interview with Vanity Fair Magazine since announcing their breakup in July, when Lopez tried to talk some reason into her being separated from Marc. “I’m gonna take it seriously. We’re gonna go through hard times, but we’re gonna work through them, and that’s what we try to do ...’’ But no denying the fact that J.Lo stayed true to her words for almost 7 tiresome years before giving up on the words she said on her marriage eve.
Although J.Lo may be going through a nasty divorce from Marc Anthony, but pop star sounds pretty happy and get going about it as she was finally being set free. And seemingly strange she only had good things to talk about Marc. “I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer… We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic — and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.” As if only good thing about their marriage was 3 years old twins they had (Max and Emme).
“To understand that a person is not good for you, or that the person is not treating you in the right way.’’ Jennifer we agree with you completely that one does not have to sacrifice one’s self respect to let relations work. As JLo is pretty positive that she is going to find a true love again real soon, quoting her “I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love… It’s still my biggest dream. I am positive — determined to move forward with my life, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”
But according to the sources it has been reported that the split couple will still work together on an upcoming Latin TV talent show. No questions about it that their fans would surely want to see them together if not in off-screen together then why not on-screen.
