Kids on the Move is sponsored by a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. “Families with Spina Bifida often feel left out when it comes to active recreation,” said SBRN Executive Director Julia McConnell, “Thanks to this grant from the Reeve Foundation, we’re able to offer an exciting variety of activities to children with Spina Bifida and their families—things they wouldn’t have been able to try before.”

The Spina Bifida Resource Network is celebrating its 30th anniversary as the only nonprofit agency providing nursing and social service coordination to families of children and adults with Spina Bifida. Our goal is to work with individuals with Spina Bifida to achieve empowerment and independence while educating the public on ways to prevent this permanently disabling birth defect.
