Jan. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- SAINT PAUL, Minn.—Riding the craft donut craze that is sweeping the nation, Mojo Monkey Donuts has officially hit pay dirt as the Twin Cities’ premiere donut supplier.

Called “the belle of the ball” by Minnesota Monthly’s senior editor Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl in her article “Ring Leaders” listing Twin Cities donut shops, Mojo Monkey Donuts has been positively reviewed in Minnesota Monthly, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, City Pages, Twin Cities Metro Magazine, Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, Twin Cities Live, Lavender, Metromix and others. Cooking up to 4,800 donuts on weekends, they regularly had a line out the door (in December in Minnesota no less) until they bought a number dispenser.

“It’s crazy,” said owner Lisa Clark. “At least now customers can come in, take a number, sample a donut hole and get a cup of coffee while they wait.”

And the craze is spreading. Mojo Monkey Donuts are now carried by Nina’s Coffee Café, Claddagh Coffee, Spyhouse Coffee Shops and others soon to be released. During the Red Bull Crashed Ice competition in January, Mojo Monkey sold 500 Red Bull themed donuts as part of the event. Now, armed with a newly launched website, a constantly evolving menu of pastries and full organic and fair trade coffee bar, they are no doubt the restaurant to watch.

About Mojo Monkey Donuts
Mojo Monkey Donuts started with owner Lisa Clark’s dream to make donuts. Not just average donuts, but donuts made with quality ingredients and by people with their own two hands. So, inspired by her five-year stint at Breadsmith and her pastry-enthused children, Clark set out with a business plan and a mission to share. Now open Tuesday through Sunday, she encourages you to give them a try!
