Canton holistic center goes back in time to raise funds

Jan. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Canton, Ohio, January 25, 2012: When Merging Hearts Holistic Center wanted to create an event to raise funds for their non-profit group, they decided to do something out of the ordinary.  “Merging Hearts is very excited to host this renaissance dance. We wanted to offer a fundraising event that was entertaining and unusual," says Debbie Bryan, President of Merging Hearts.  She adds, "Merging Hearts relies on donations from individuals and corporations to continue our work as a non-profit educational and cultural center offering opportunities intended to nurture the mind, heal the body and awaken the spirit.  What better way to accomplish all three than by a fun evening of shared food, conversation and dance!"  She contacted a local event coordinator with experience teaching renaissance era dances, and the rest, so to speak, is history!

The fundraiser will be held on March 31, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Merging Hearts Holistic Center, 3751 Burrshire Dr., Canton, OH 44709.  A potluck dinner will be followed by an evening of dancing in the renaissance style.   To maintain the renaissance theme, costumes and period food are encouraged.  Dancing will be taught by Holly Matson, the event coordinator, and will include a variety of levels of difficulty.  Guests need not have prior dance experience or a partner.  Suggested sources for renaissance period recipes appear on the event webpage http://ladyhawisedance.weebly.com/merging-hearts-fundrais..., along with event details and ticket information.  Registration is required as space is limited.
