The Seminar, led by local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) members Maggie and Jeff Bradseth, featured food, drinks, and even a sample of Wise Ready to Eat Meals, a long-life dehydrated food Disaster Relief Supply sells in their stores. The two certified CERT members outlined important strategies and knowledge required to successfully prepare for, survive, and recover from a Disaster. "Jeff and Maggie did a great job, and I hope in the future we can continue this program, and bring in more people. We've already begun to see more traffic in the store, and an increased interest in these kinds of events" Fisher told us.
The future of this Emergency Preparedness program seems bright given the interest since the first class. "The reality is that people don't bother to prepare until the threat is real. We're going to try our best to raise awareness beforehand, and hope that it catches on both locally, and nationally".
