Jan. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- (Baltimore, MD) – The Basketball Academy has been informed that due to recently adapted NCAA bylaws that its games can not be held on the campus of any college institutions. Therefore, the games had to be moved again and will now take place at Lake Clifton High School located at 2801 Saint Lo Drive, Baltimore, MD.

For 16 years the Basketball Academy has provided academics, athletics, cultural enrichment and service learning to area student-athletes. “It was important to us that the students have an opportunity to play. We have done all that we can to make sure that these students are still able to participate in the athletic component of the academy.  If the event was cancelled it could have impacted their seating in the upcoming MPSSAA Regional Basketball playoffs,” said Bob Wade, Co-Chair of the Basketball Academy.

The academic component on Thursday, January 26 and Friday, January 27 will still be held at Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School located at 3500 Hillen Road, Baltimore, MD. “We truly hope that the community will still come out and support these student-athletes. We will still maintain the academic integrity of the Basketball Academy,” said Dr. Warren Hayman, Co-Chair of the Academy.

Organizers will ensure that any advanced tickets will be honored.  Therefore, a limited number of tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
