Innovation is defined as profitable inventions, mathematically represented as INNOVATION = INVENTIONS + PROFITS TM. Inventions are defined as an act or instance of creating or producing by exercise of the imagination. No one exactly knows which invention will be profitable. It is a gamble at best. Book number one, Sam Rolls into Detroit, is comprised of 48 pages - the first 24 pages of introduces students to a teen who becomes a prolific inventor after the inventive spirit lands on him. The last 24 pages walks the student and family through the invention process – the scientific method.
