A1 Outsource Excited by Simon Cowell’s Next TV Project

Jan. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Simon Cowell is the godfather of reality TV and his shows have spread around the world with millions tuning into the likes of The X Factor and American Idol regularly. Glasgow based A1 Outsource, has felt recently that the formula is becoming a little tired and therefore Cowell’s newest foray into the reality world is sure to shake things up.

The entertainment mogul has enlisted Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith to produce the new show. Their company Overbrook has been working with Simon’s Syco Entertainment for over a year and the format is expected to be launched internationally. A1 Outsource asks the question, why has Cowell decided to work with DJ’s? Cowell’s answer is simple, “DJ’s are the new rock stars – it feels like the right time to make this show.” Jada Pinkett-Smith feels the same level of enthusiasm for the project, “This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent.”

A1 Outsource believe that the decision to shake things up doesn’t really come as much of a surprise. A spokesperson for the company said, “The X Factor for the first time last year had a ratings blip and Cowell will be keen to nip it in the bud. This is something new and different, a group of artists that have never been tapped before and one that will appeal to a new audience.”

Simon Cowell recently made an uncharacteristic admission which surprised the team at A1 Outsource.  At the launch of Britain’s Got Talent he told the BBC that he “got a bit smug” and “too arrogant” after an incredibly successful 2010. He said “We went into 2011 thinking: ‘It’s all going to be easy’ – and of course it wasn’t, it was a massive wake-up call.”

A1 Outsource feel that this show of humility will only endear Cowell to the general public, “Whilst part of Simon’s charm is his arrogance people will be please to see that when he gets it wrong he admits it. Coupled with a new and exciting format this is sure to be a step in the right direction for him.”

The selected UK and USA broadcaster is expected to be announced tomorrow though A1 Outsource expects ITV, who Simon Cowell has worked with many times before, to be a likely candidate.
